AUTHOR'S NOTE: The Warrensburg Police Department issues their reports to the press once weekly. These reports are for every incident submitted from July 22nd through July 28th, 2024. The reports were submitted to KSIS on August 16th, 2024.


 

On 7/22/2024 at 1646 hours, Officers responded to a report of an assault in the 200 block of East North Street. Christy Carter stated she got into an altercation with several juveniles and a male subject regarding the ownership of a cell phone. They left in a dark colored 4 door car. This incident is under investigation.


 

On 7/22/2024 at 1752 hours, Megan Harper reported that her 2005 White Ford F450 was stolen from the 400 Block of Burkarth Road sometime between 0530 and 0630 hours. On 7/26/2024 at 0900 hours, the vehicle was located in Kansas City. The incident is under investigation.


 

On 7/22/24 at approximately 1904 hours, Felipe Lehtinen reported that he was scammed out of $2,200.00 by an unknown male subject who stated he worked for the Sheriff's Department. Investigation Continues.


 

On 7/23/2024 at approximately 1107 hours, I was dispatched to Probation and Parole at 505 N Ridgeview Drive for a warrant service. Probation and Parole advised there was a known male subject with a warrant for a Probation Violation on original felony charges of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Cody Riordan, 24, was taken into custody and transported to Johnson County Jail. Riordan was also cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released to the jail staff.


 

On 7/23/2024 at approximately 1027 hours, Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint involving two subjects who were throwing items into the hallway in the 500 block of Regent Drive. Officers made contact with a male and female subject who denied any disturbance. Elizabeth Ann Hill, 56, was arrested on Lee's Summit warrant on charges of Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway (Causing an Accident) and transported to the Johnson County Jail. Bond was set at $300 cash or surety.


 

On 07/23/2024 at approximately 1145 hours, Western Missouri Medical Center at 403 Burkarth Road, advised Johnson County Central Dispatch about a dog bite victim at the emergency room. Stacie Brown stated that she received the bite from her own dog. The bite occurred in Sedalia. This report will be forwarded to Sedalia PD.


 

On 07/23/2024 at approximately 1220 hours, Officers were dispatched to the soccer complex near 1024 W Pine Street in regards to an abandoned dog. Old Drum Animal Shelter staff located an abandoned dog at the soccer complex and took it to the shelter for care.


 

Ono 7/23/2024 at 1959 hours, Hailey Haas reported that a female subject was neglecting the care of her child in the 1000 block of Mitchell Street. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 7/23/24 at approximately 2044 hours, Officers were dispatched to an agency assist with Johnson County Ambulance District at 509 Westgate Drive regarding a deceased male. The Johnson County Coroner was notified.


 

ON 7/24/2024 at 0308 hours, Officers attempted to stop a black vehicle on Maguire Street near North Street for an equipment violation. The driver fled from the stop. Investigation ongoing.

On 07/24/2024 at approximately 0245 hours, Officers were dispatched to a careless and imprudent driver located in the 300 block of East Young Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled. Officers located and arrested Ethan Timothy Fritts, 22, for Resisting by Fleeing. Fritts was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 7/24/2024 at approximately 0312 hours, Officers responded to Warrensburg Shell at 221 East Young Street for a past occurred assault. Mike Tackett reported that a known male subject assaulted him. Investigation continues.


 

On 7/24/24 at 1408 hours, Officers responded to Walmart at 301 East Cooper Boulevard for a report of a bicycle that had just been stolen from a customer. University of Central Missouri Police located a male suspect in the 900 Block of Simpson. It was also discovered the male subject stole $230.90 in merchandise from Walmart as well. Jose Chukin Maldonado, 26, and then subsequently booked and released from the WPD with two municipal summonses for stealing.


 

On 7/24/24 at 1721 hours, Officers responded to WMMC at 403 Burkarth Road. Officers took a report of a broken windshield in the parking lot that occurred on 7/24/24 between 1250 hours and 1703 hours. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 7/24/2024 at 2113 hours, Officers located a known male subject in the 300 block of East Young Street who had an active warrant for their arrest. Officers confirmed the warrant out of Pettis County on charges of Counterfeiting. The suspect attempted to pass a counterfeit $20 bill in April of 2024 in Sedalia. The counterfeit bill had "COPY MONEY" written on it in multiple places, and did not have the same texture as a real bill. James Thomas Myrick Jr., 48, was arrested and transported to the Johnson County Jail.


 

On 7/25/24 at 1822 hours, Officers responded to the 700 Block of East Culton Street for a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. A male subject was found not breathing in the residence and was later determined to be deceased. Maegan Elizabeth Murray, 40, of Warrensburg, was arrested for involuntary homicide and assault. Murray was transported to the Johnson County Jail. Murray’s charges were amended, however, to include felony Murder in the 2nd Degree, and felony Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree. Murray is currently being held at the Johnson County Jail with no bond.


 

On 7/25/24 at 0747 hours, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a blue Saturn SL at the intersection of Warren and McGoodwin Streets. Tamala Violet Fagundes, 44, was arrested for No Driver's License, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. She was booked and released from the WPD pending state charges.


 

On 7/25/24 at approximately 2307 hours, I was dispatched to the Henry County jail to extradite a female subject on a Warrensburg warrant. The warrant was a Failure to Appear on original charges of Larceny. Kaylee Marie Kieffer, 22 was transported to the Johnson County Jail to be booked.


 

On 07/26/2024 at approximately 1334 hours, Officers were dispatched to the parking lot at 501 N Maguire Street in regards to a dog locked in a vehicle. Officers were able to locate the owner who was arrested for an outstanding warrant from Missouri State Highway Patrol for a charge of No Seat Belt. Gabrial Clark Daiker, 21 was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released on $50 bond.


 

On 7/26/2024 at 1412 hours, Ashtyn Burch reported that an unknown person hacked her Facebook account and attempted to retrieve money from her friends on her friends list. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 7/26/2024 at approximately 1432 hours, Officers were dispatched to Casey's at 303 N Maguire Street. Melissa White reported that a known male subject stole alcohol and left on foot. Christopher Robin Ellis, 55 was located and arrested. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, booked and released with a summons for Shoplifting.


 

On 7/26/2024 at approximately 1514 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Market Street. Felicia Airhart reported that her firearm was stolen from her residence sometime between 7/17/2024 at 2200 hours and 7/18/2024 at 0700 hours. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/26/2024 at approximately 1526 hours, Officers were dispatched to the wooded area south of 606 Burkarth Road regarding a check the well being of an individual. Compass Health workers received a tip that the unknown family was living in a tent in the wooded area. Officers had negative contact with anyone at the campsite, but located two dogs that had little food and no water. The dogs were seized and transported to Old Drum Animal Shelter. Investigation ongoing.


 

On 07/26/2024 at approximately 1707 hours, Officers responded to the 800 block of Prairie Hill Drive in regards to a domestic assault. Kristen Davis reported that a known male subject assaulted her and a juvenile and caused property damage. Davis declined to press charges at this time. This case will be forwarded to the prosecutor for review.


 

On 07/26/2024 at approximately 1806, Officers responded to the parking lot at The Midtown Connection Shopping Center, 501 N Maguire Street,  in regards to a dog at large. Officers located the female owner of the dog. Kay Lynn Blackburn 52, he was cited on scene for allowing her dog to run at large.


 

On 7/27/2024 at 0216 hours, McDonald's employees reported there was an intoxicated driver at 311 E Young Street. A male subject was arrested for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. He was processed and released on scene.


 

On 7/27/2024 at approximately 0827 hours, Officers responded to South Maguire and Grant Drive for a traffic Complaint. Austin Andrews reported that a known male subject was walking in the road and was under the influence. Santiago Matheus, 53, was arrested for a Warrensburg Warrant on charges of Trespassing and placed in Johnson County Jail.


 

On 7/27/2024 at approximately 0901 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 900 block of South Mitchell Street for a domestic assault. Shenna Bartlett reported that a known male subject assaulted her at approximately 0730 hours and left the residence. Due to conflicting statements, this incident will be forward to the prosecutor for review.


 

On 7/27/24 at approximately 0139 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of South Maguire Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers contacted an intoxicated male subject who had to be detained during the investigation. The male subject was released and a report will be sent to the prosecutors office due to him violating his bond conditions.


 

On 07/27/2024 at 2122 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 3rd Street in reference to harassment complaint. Officers located a male subject who was trespassed from the property. Cirino Cruz Jimenez, 33, was arrested for Driving Without a Valid License and Driving While Intoxicated. He was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 7/28/2024 at 0135 hours, Officers observed liquor law violations at 121 East Pine Street*. One male subject was cited for hours of sale violations and another male subject was cited for dance hall permit violations.


 

On 07/28/2023 at approximately 0231 hours, a male subject reported that he was stabbed in the arm by a known male subject, over a year ago in the 700 block of North Charles Street. Investigation is ongoing.


 

On 07/28/2024 at approximately 0306 hours, Officers were requested for assistance by Missouri Highway Patrol, in reference of a vehicle pursuit in route to Warrensburg. The vehicle drove into a corn field on SW 100 Rd and the occupants fled the vehicle on foot.


 

On 07/28/2024 at approximately 0939 hours, Officers responded to a theft call in the 600 block of Springridge Road. Sheila Brown reported her blue, silver, and purple bicycle was stolen from outside her residence by a known male subject on 07/27/24 at an unknown time. Officers followed up with Sheila on 7/31/2024, she stated that the bike was returned. She did not wish to tell officers who had the bike and no longer wanted to filed charges.


 

On 07/28/2024, at approximately 1753 hours, Officers responded to the 700 block of Cedar Drive in regards to a disturbance in progress. Three juveniles stated that a known male subject, entered the residence and forced his way up the stairs. During the event, the male subject pushed one of the juveniles. The juvenile and their parent declined to file charges of assault and peace disturbance.


 

On 7/28/2024 at approximately 2140 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of North Holden Street in reference to a possible abandonment of a child. Upon arrival, Officers determined there is supervision concerns but no signs of abuse/neglect. A hotline was submitted for this incident.


 

7/28/2024 at 2231 hours, I stopped a female subject in a grey Infiniti SUV for in the 200 block of Grover Street. Tesmina S. Simina, 35 was arrested for Driving While Suspended and transported to the Warrensburg Police Department, processed and released.


 

On 7/23/2024 at 1140 hours, Warrensburg Detectives were notified that a male subject inappropriately touched a juvenile on at least two separate occasions. It was determined that the incident occurred outside of Warrensburg City limits and was referred to Johnson County Sheriff's Office for investigation.


 

On 07/28/2024, at approximately 1727 hours, Officers were notified by Sharde Smith and two juveniles that a known male registered sex offender had been staying in the 700 block of Cedar Drive since 07/13/2024. The sex offender failed to report his change of address. The investigation is ongoing.


 

*It is not clear which business is at this address.  Both the Fitt Kickers bar and the Margaritas Mexican Restaurant are currently listed at the same address.
