I was worried for a second that something might be wrong next door, when I saw the big trucks and the electrical equipment.

I thought, "Oh no, is Shabby 2 Chic shutting down?" Nope, none of the sort. I popped over to get some pictures and ask since it seemed like things were going down right there.  Turns out there's another little space up front there in the old John Deere building.  The more the merrier!  This time it's another location for Discount Smokes and Liquor.

They've already got two locations in Warrensburg, and one on Broadway here in Sedalia.  I spoke for a quick second to the owner,  but he didn't have much time and it wasn't like I was going to be giving him the third degree. He said they'd probably be ready to open the new location in a couple of weeks.

I had no idea there was even a little shop space in the front there, so I guess I'm really living under a rock, because I've BEEN to that building.  But then, it's not like I've been though all parts of the building.  It definitely has come a long way from the John Deere, who had to leave a few years ago to expand.  Now that they're further down 65, I see they've really made good usage of the space.

Well, I said before, the more the merrier, why not have another little spot for people to stop by and get some refreshments.  We'll see if they'll do a grand opening later this month!

Pictorially yours,
Behka
