The 2013 Sedalia Food Fair took place in the Agriculture Building at the Missouri State Fairgrounds on Tuesday night (Oct. 22). For a foodie like me, it was pretty much heaven.

The Food Fair featured dishes from over 20 different local vendors, from restaurants to caterers and grocery stores. Samples of pretty much anything you could want were available: sandwiches, dips, appetizers, desserts and even entrees like ribs, pizza and tamales. There was even a ton of adult beverages to sample for those over 21, and all sorts of soft drinks available as well.

Everyone seemed to be having a great time and the vendors were all incredibly friendly. The Smith-Cotton Jazz Band played throughout the night while fun prizes were given away, including a life size cutout of Dale Earndhart Jr. The night ended with the "Taste of Sedalia" Awards being handed out. First place went to Bing's for their delicious ribs, Second Place to Patricia's Mexican and More for their Catfish Bites, and Third Place to Martha's Tamales.

It was a great time, and I was absolutely stuffed by the end of the night. Check out the great photos from Kevin Walker below!
