Sedalia Police investigating a sexual assault on a child

At 9:58 this (Tuesday) morning Sedalia Police received information from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office on a possible sexual assault on a child that took place in the 1500 block of South Kentucky. The police report states the date of the possible assault is not known. The case is under investigation at this time.

Sedalia man arrested for stealing at the Honey Hole 100 South Ohio

Around 5:18 Monday evening Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from the Honey Hole located at 100 South Ohio. According to the complainant a suspect took $100 worth of video games and a gaming console from the store. The complainant notified the local pawn shops, and a short time later the Family Pawn at 2805 West Broadway called the police, and informed them a suspect was attempting to pawn the merchandise. Upon arrival officers arrested 31-year-old Chad E. Lindley of Sedalia, and transported him to the Pettis County Jail where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of shoplifting/stealing, and driving while suspended.

28-year-old Sedalia woman arrested on a warrant after running a red light

At 8pm Monday night the Sedalia police stopped a vehicle near Broadway and Quincy for running a red light. A check on the driver 28-year-old Alishia M. Zentner of Sedalia revealed she had a failure to appear warrant out of Benton County. Zenter was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail pending a $15,000 bond on the warrant.

Warrant check lands a Sedalia man in jail

Monday afternoon the Sedalia Police conducted a warrant check in the 300 block of North Hill. Upon arrival the warrant was confirmed. Arrested at the scene was 20-year-old James D. Yount of Sedalia. Yount was transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $200 cash only bond.

Sedalia man receives a summons for an illegal burn

Around 7:20 Last (Monday) night the Sedalia Police were dispatched to the area of Grand and Pettis Ave. on an illegal burn. A check on the suspect Isidro M. Nuci through the fire department revealed he did not have a burn permit. Nuci was issued a summons and a court date for the illegal burn.

Thefts from motor vehicles reported to the Sedalia Police

A victim in the 1600 block of West 5th reported his vehicle was ransacked sometime overnight Sunday. The victim said $500 in cash was taken from the vehicle.

A theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 1400 block of South Grand this (Tuesday) morning. The victim told Sedalia Police Officers the thief or thieves took unspecified items valued at $100 from the vehicle. There were no suspects in these thefts at news time.
