Burn Ban in City of Sedalia Lifted

Due to recent rain, the City of Sedalia will be lifting the burn ban, according to Fire Chief Matt Irwin.

Recreational fire pits are again authorized to be used.

The Sedalia Fire Department still would like to urge the community to use caution when burning and to never leave a fire unattended.

Please remember that any burning of brush piles still require a burn permit within the city limits, Irwin said on Wednesday morning,
