Mothers Against Methamphetamine Offering Training Course for Children Affected by Meth [INTERVIEW]

Unfortunately, Missouri and Pettis County has a drug problem. I think we've all heard it in the news or seen it on the streets. Meth is a problem. Our Drug Enforcement officers do a great job of busting up labs and dealers, but then what?  What happens to the people who are addicted to this dangerous substance?  What happens to their families, who have watched their loved ones go through this struggle who feel powerless to help?  There is something that can be done, and is being done every day by the Mothers Against Methamphetamine, or MAMA.

Watch the Flyover World Record Broken at Last Weekend’s Kansas City Chiefs Game [VIDEO]

The Kansas City Chiefs certainly have their fans abuzz with a 6-0 record. This start to their season prompted Kansas City Chiefs fans to go for the loudest crowd record that the Seattle Seahawks fans obtained earlier this season. It seems most people were paying attention to this record, including ESPN and the major networks. They were able to break the record last Sunday (Oct. 13), but if you didn't watch the pregame or weren't at the stadium, you may not have seen the world other record broken at the game.

For those of you who've lived in Sedalia for a while, the Quisenberry one-room schoolhouse is one of those staples of life gone by. It's a living, standing tribute to how far Sedalia and the school district has come in such a short span of time. We all may have our opinions about the school system, but we can all agree that what we have now is leaps and bounds of improvement from what the Quisenberry kids used.

Project Community Connect Will Serve the Impoverished in Johnson County

Project Community Connect (PCC) will be offering health services and resources to struggling families and individuals in Warrensburg, Mo on Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the University of Central Missouri's (UCM) Recreation Center. These services include free medical care, dental work, employment affairs and even haircuts.

Created Equal Series Interacts with Johnson and Pettis County Memories [INTERVIEW]

The Created Equal series is a program from the National Endowment for the Humanities.  It's been taken around to all sorts of places in the nation, from schools to churches to libraries and several different places where people can interact.  It's purpose is to look at our history in personal terms, to remember and discuss where we've been and where we are now in our racial harmonies in everyday terms.
