This week I thought it would be fun to bring back some of our voices from the past and find out what they are up to with my final day on Friday, December 11. I know each of them you loved over the years on Better Country KIX 105, 92.3 Bob-FM and Newstalk 1050 KSIS.

Do you have your plan laid out? Have you gathered your friends and family and went over your course of attack? Or, do you say "Pffhhhh!!!"...go for it, I'm sleeping in!

As I talked to my wife the other day the subject of picking greens came up, and I couldn't help but think of Mom, Sis and my Grandmother Wickliffe doing that when I was a boy. Anyone who has spent hours in pursuit of greens, and then sat and picked them clean before they could be cooked will probably see themselves in this memory.

It was October 29, 1929, the Stock Market crashed, wiping out the fortunes of thousands of investors.  The day came to be known as BLACK TUESDAY, and it triggered the "GREAT DEPRESSION" which lasted for nearly 10 more years.

Each day we recognize birthdays on Newstalk 1050 KSIS, 92.3 Bob-FM and Better Country KIX 105. There are many who remember when Willard Scott would recognize those who celebrate their 100th birthday, otherwise known as centenarians. Today (October 28), we get a chance to celebrate and wish Sedalia's own Lena Bargfrede a very happy 103rd birthday at Winchester Meadows. You can swing by and drop off

Many tragedies have occurred along the track of the present day Highway 50 near Warrensburg. It isn’t surprising, therefore, that occurrences of paranormal activity are often reported from the area.

With Halloween less than two weeks away, ghosts and goblins are starting to come to mind as costumes for the upcoming parties and events.  For many, along with those costumes, are the stories that go along with the true and maybe no-so-true stories of haunted houses and other scary locations around the state of Missouri.

Carving pumpkins, sipping cider, and trick-or-treating may be part of your Halloween ritual, but nothing gets us into the spirit more than Halloween costumes!
