When The Avengers arrived in 2012, the massive final battle between Earth’s mightiest heroes and Loki’s alien army ended up being much bigger and more exciting than the trailers suggested. From the sound of things, we may be in for a similar treat with Avengers 2. In a new interview, writer/director Joss Whedon discussed many aspects of the upcoming sequel, but it’s his comments about the Avengers 2 ending that should get you the most interested.

As Spectre continues filming, we are treated today to another dispatch from the Bond 24 set. The last video blog focused on the snowy shoot on the top of the Austrian mountains and this new installment features new behind the scenes footage of Daniel Craig as James Bond as well as Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), and Ben Whishaw (Q).

How many times in your life have you snuck up on someone and scared them? Three, maybe four times? The Lazarus Effect is the kind of horror movie where people do that constantly. It’s basically their standard greeting; instead of “Hello!” they jump on people from behind, sometimes while wearing pig masks. It doesn’t make much sense, but they’re not doing it because it’s logical — they’re doing it because this is a bargain basement horror film and you take the scares wherever you can get them.

Disney animators based a lot of Baymax’s look on a young child. His walk was specifically modeled after a toddler with a full diaper. Pranks! Wacky, silly, fun pranks! Destructive, horrible, embarrassing pranks. On last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, former Saturday Night Live star Will Forte reminisced about a prank he once played on co-star Kenan Thompson, a generally benign (but charmingly so) prank that saw him and Kristen Schaal playing around in Thompson’s dressing room when he wasn’t present and then sending him pictures of the mayhem. This is a classic prank. What could possibly go wrong?

The Divergent Series: Insurgent (which the real, actual title of this film) has been bombarding us with trailers for so long that it feels like the movie should have come out by now. But alas, the next chapter in this young adult dystopian romantic action series is still a month away and Summit has released the final Insurgent trailer. To their credit, this is easily the most effective preview they’ve cut so far, even if it seems like it’s in an alien language to the people who skipped Divergent.

If the prospect of a new live-action version of Cinderella wasn’t enticing enough, the new Disney film is opening with a special added attraction: “Frozen Fever,” a short sequel to Frozen, the most popular movie (and most dastardly earworm) of 2013. And here I thought “Frozen fever” was a mental illness that made kids sing “Let It Go” over and over again until their parents begged for the sweet release of death. My mistake.

It’s been a decade since Will Smith was “Will Smith” onscreen. Sure, he’s made movies in the last ten years; science-fiction pictures, dramas, comedies. He even played Satan, once. But none of them riffed on that classic Will Smith persona that everyone loves; the infectious charm, the seductive smile, the cocky but casual swagger. (What’s that? Men in Black 3? No, they never made a third Men in Black. You must be confused.)
