Earlier this week, Facebook changed all the default email addresses on its users’ profiles to a brand new address, @facebook.com. Sneaky yes, but was it really that big of a deal? Probably not since very few people are ever going to navigate through a Facebook profile to get an email address when it’s so much easier and more reliable to use Facebook’s internal messaging system.

However, the folks at Thank for You for Not Laughing have found other recent tweaks Facebook has made that are far more dubious.

Have You Had a Brush With Fame?

Recently in scanning through Facebook and other sites, I have noticed that many of you have had some brushes with fame.  It amazes me whenever I see a celebrity just walking around and they take the time to have a photo or shake hands or whatever.  Some celebrities have this persona where they just want to be left alone when they are doing whatever it is they do.  Others just enjoy the moment and eat it up.

Bridge Burns on South Grand Avenue, Fireworks Believed to Have Ignited the Blaze [PHOTOS]

Last night (June 27), Pettis County Fire Fighters were called to a structure fire at a wooden-decked low water crossing on South Grand Avenue.  Firefighters say a large amount of spent firework debris and packaging were found at the bridge, leading them to believe that fireworks ignited the bridge.

Cool Down at Nassif Aquatic Center [REVIEW]

With the temperatures close to 100 degrees, I took the opportunity to take my family out to Nassif Aquatic Center in Warrensburg.  From years of being a student in Knob Noster and the University of Central Missouri,  I can remember only a handful of times going to that pool.   However, now that the park has greatly expanded their services, it truly is worth the family outing.

Brigadier General Thomas A. Bussiere Assumes Command of Whiteman Air Force Base

Whiteman Air Force Base held a change of command ceremony on Monday, June 18 at the A-10 5-bay Hangar, where Brigadier General Scott Vander Hamm announced he would be leaving for Joint Base San Antonio in Texas, and a familiar face would resume command.  Brigadier General Thomas A. Bussiere officially took command of the base during the ceremony. This is his fourth time getting assigned to Whiteman in some capacity.
