Police Investigating Attempted Truck Theft from Warrensburg Ford

Police are investigating an attempted auto theft that occurred this morning (Oct. 3) at Warrensburg Ford, located at 330 East Young St.  According to a press release from the Warrensburg Police Department, someone attempted to steal a black Ford pickup truck by pulling the truck out of the dealership lot and into the middle of Business Route 50 in front of the dealership.

Burg Fest to Bring Family Fun to Warrensburg

This weekend, there are tons of activities to go see and be a part of. If you're in the Warrensburg area, be sure to stop on by for The Burg Fest. This is a three day event that goes on today (Sept. 27) through Sunday (Sept. 29). The Burg Fest is put on by Warrensburg Main Street and Big Brothers Big Sisters and will have a family fun theme.

International Justice Mission at the UCM Raises Awareness About Human Trafficking

International Justice Mission's (IJM) student chapter at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) raised awareness about human trafficking with their "Choose Freedom" event outside the student Union, which occurred yesterday and today (Sept. 25-26). The IJM chapter had students paint their hands red and press their fingerprints against a big, black "X," which stands for the "End It Movement, "a global effort to stop human slavery.
