The Center for Human Services held an appreciation breakfast on Thursday (October 30) at the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center for the local groups, businesses, and organizations that interact with the Center and its workers.Groups from all over Sedalia attended, including non profits and local mainstays.  I saw people from Best Western, Bryant Motors, The Sedalia Democrat, the Sedalia Chamber of Commerce,  the Boys and Girls Club, and quite a few more.  We had a wonderful breakfast and Melissa Rutledge, Employment Solutions Supervisor, made sure everyone was comfortable while we heard about the CHS from Dr Mark Register. We also got to hear from some people who employ those who've gotten training and skills from the Center for Human Services, and how the reciprocal relationship has been beneficial.  I got to take some photos of the event, and thought I'd share them with you!

I wanted to be sure to thank everybody out at the CHS and the Children's Therapy Center for inviting me to attend. The Center for Human Services has so much to offer our community; from the enrichment it gives in education,  the drive it gives their workforce, and even the beautiful plants the Garden Center grows. It's one of those wonderful places that gives Sedalia its rich and unique atmosphere.  If you'd like to find out more about the center, what they do, or what you can do to help, you can visit their website, their Facebook page, or you can give them a call at 660-826-4400. And don't forget to get registered for the upcoming Turkey Trot coming up with CHS and the Children's Therapy Center.

Appreciatingly yours,
Behka
