There's no doubt that one of the biggest local news stories of 2016 has been the fire that destroyed Sedalia's First United Methodist Church on the night of March 2. The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. that night, and it completely destroyed the 128-year-old church and knocked out power lines in the area.
