Nancy Carol (Davis) Gloth was born at the farm home near Eagleville, Harrison County, MO on Dec. 29, 1946, a daughter, and fourth child of six born to Louis J. Davis and Melville Booher Davis. She passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Saint Lukes’s Hospital, Kansas City, Jackson County, MO after family having time with her, and with her loving son, Dustin, at her side. Services are private. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Pettis County, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.


Betty J. Hopkins, 93, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at E.W. Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a known Educator, Humanitarian, and International Ambassador. Memorial services will be held at 2:00  P.M., Sunday, December 17, 2023 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia. Inurnment will be in High Point Cemetery in Hughesville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Betty Hopkins Scholarship Fund at either Smith-Cotton High School or Sacred Heart School in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.


 

Irene Marie Sherman, 81, of Sedalia, MO, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. She was born on January 13, 1942, in Friend, NE, the daughter of Russell Arlo Thompson and Agnes Marie (Epler) Thompson, who preceded her in death.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Maplewood Church, with Rev. Dr. Eddie Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will be held by the family at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Maplewood Church Building Fund in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
