Four Sacred Heart varsity golfers traveled to Clinton Country Club to compete at Districts and earn a trip to State.

District can always be a bittersweet round of golf; some advance to State next Monday & Tuesday at Twin Hills in Joplin and unfortunately, some ended their season.

Leading the way for the Gremlins was senior Luke Jenkins who had 10 pars, a birdie and six bogeys. Luke finished with a 7 over 79, tying him for third and advancing him to state for the 4th consecutive year where he has placed 27, 6th and 2nd last year.

Next was junior Zander Jackson who fired eight pars a birdie and four bogeys - 86 advancing him to state for the second consecutive year.

Next up for the Gremlins was junior Grant Goodwin who carded four pars and 10 bogies for a 90. Unfortunately, Grant missed the cut by only three strokes.

Bringing it home for the Gremlins was senior Spencer Aeschbacher who finished with 116.

Special thanks to Gail Jackson who made the trip to assist the tournament in being one of 18 markers keeping score of every stroke for a group of four golfers.
