Gremlins Beat Smithton In Five
Sacred Heart Gremlins Volleyball traveled to Smithton on Tuesday where Varsity won in five long rallie sets 25-23, 17-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-11.
Sophia Carney led the Gremlins with 23 kills, 5 aces, and 4 blocks. Sammy Altena had 13 kills, 21 assists, and 14 digs. Avery Epple was perfect from the serving line with 18 serves, 4 aces, 32 assists, and 18 digs.
Emily Hesse added 13 points and 3 aces.
Libero Ellie Coruna had a great defensive night for Gremlins with 9 big digs. Ava Stone had 18 passes and Sophomore Emilee Jackson added 3 kills for the night.
JV lost in two sets 20-25, 24-26.
Sophie Anderson led the JV Gremlins with 7 kills and 4 assists, Paige Diller added 5 kills and 4 digs, Sophomores Mary Butner and Bailee Jackson both had 4 kills and 1 block. Kynslee Prewitt had 8 points and 7 digs. Ebrinn Cahill added 11 passes and 6 points. Paisley Carl had 5 assists and 4 digs.
The Lady Gremlins continue on the road to Otterville on Thursday.
