The Sacred Heart Gremlins soccer team celebrated nine senior players Tuesday night with a 9-1 victory over La Monte.

Prior to the start of the varsity game, each senior was introduced by SH Athletic Director Amanda Blackburn. The players were escorted onto the field by their parents. The National Anthem was performed by senior Mariah Van Leer.

After the festivities concluded, the Gremlins were all business as senior Jackson Manning scored a goal just over a minute into the match off an assist from fellow senior Vladimir Lopez. Junior Josh Pacheco scored and about five minutes later, senior Marcel Walton scored, assisted by Jackson Manning.

Senior George Bain scored a goal at the 23-minute mark and then assisted senior Luke Jenkins for a goal making the score 5-0.

Sophomore Gabriel Malacara scored and after several shots on goal, senior Reuben Smith -- who normally plays defense with Luke Jenkins -- scored a goal.

Freshman Sasha Kiyevets notched his first varsity goal just two minutes later from an assist from junior Diego De Leon.
