KC Pedestrian Struck & Killed in Jackson County
A Kansas City pedestrian was struck and killed Wednesday morning in Jackson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 42-year-old Robert A. Gatewell of Kansas City was walking along the shoulder of Blue Ridge Boulevard, south of Truman's Market Place at 9:08 a.m., when a northbound 2009 Chrysler, driven by 48-year-old Mark Krikorian of Belton traveled onto the shoulder and struck Gatewell.
Gatewell was pronounced dead by EMT Aaron Eyous at 9:25 a.m. The body was taken to the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office.
The Chrysler had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
Grandview Police assisted the Patrol.
