The State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners will return a solid group of student athletes for the 2013-2014 season.

Guards Antoinette Taylor, Adella Randle-EL, Sannayiah Johnson and Apiphany Woods return in the backcourt, and Tiana Jones and Asia Mosley will return to anchor the frontcourt. Every returning player has started multiple games in a Lady Roadrunner uniform.

SFCC Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Kevin Bucher is excited about the players he has coming back.

“Having a year of experience under their belts will help our returnees tremendously,” said Bucher. “Antoinette Taylor is one of the leading returning scorers in the region. When you add other veterans like Adella Randle-EL, Sannayiah Johnson and Apiphany Woods, our guards are very good. They have experience and are hungry to be back and looking forward to the season ahead. Tiana Jones and Asia Mosley add some depth inside, as well as experience.”

Taylor averaged a team-high 14.2 points during her freshman campaign. She was second on the team in assists, dishing out 64 for the season, and in steals, with 70 for the season.
Randle-EL dished out a team-leading 89 assists and 83 steals for the season and contributed 10.8 points per game.

Jones played in 25 games for SFCC. She pulled down 2.1 rebounds per contest and registered eight block shots.

Johnson averaged just over nine points per game in her first season. She pulled down 3.89 rebounds per game and shot 63 percent from the free-throw line.

Woods shot a team-leading 76 percent from the free-throw line last season. She averaged eight points per contest and registered 42 steals.
