Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson is launching a new statewide program called “Buy Missouri” this week.

According to a press release from Parson's Office, the program will recognize and promote products made within the borders of Missouri.

The new program is an attempt to strengthen the state’s economy.

“Our state has hundreds of quality products, and deserve the recognition that Buy Missouri will bring to them”, said Lieutenant Governor Mike Parson. “This kind of project has never been done on this scale in our state’s history, and we believe by promoting Missouri products ranging from barbecue sauce to windows to pet food, our economy will be strengthened. This is a win-win for Missouri manufacturers and consumers alike”, Lieutenant Governor Parson said.

Parson's plans to visit 10 communities across the state Tuesday and Wednesday to promote the program. The press release says details are forthcoming with times and locations.
