At 11:00 this morning (Nov. 1), Pettis County Presiding Commissioner John Meehan held a celebration and reunion in the third floor courtroom at the Pettis County Courthouse to celebrate the dedicated service of our retired elected officials.

In attendance were long serving judges and other officeholders, as well as some who are presently filling those positions. Pettis County Commissioner John Meehan asked each office holder whether retired or current elected official to rise and talk about their years of service. Many of the comments were about some of the more humorous aspects of their jobs, and those brought a lot of laughter from the crowd.

Following the celebration, a light lunch was served on the second floor of the courthouse, where the stories continued.
