Pettis County Firefighters Association Raising Funds with Chili Supper [INTERVIEW]
The Pettis County Firefighter’s Association will host their Annual Chili Supper on Saturday, March 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Pettis County Fire Central Station.
The complexity of modern industrialized life with a greater prominence of hazards has created an increase in the skills needed in firefighting technology and a broadening of the firefighter-rescuer's skills. They often provide emergency medical services that nobody else can bring. Firefighting and firefighters have become ubiquitous around the world, from rural areas to urban areas. They do their job every day knowing they may get hurt or killed just in a normal day's work.
You can help our local firefighters by attending a great supper fundraiser next weekend. I got to talk to John Burdick and Matt Beason with the PCFA about the dinner and what the money raised goes for.
