On Saturday (July 1), Sedalia Police received information about a subject in the 1600 block of South Limit with possible warrants. Police located the suspect in a vehicle near McDonalds. The suspect, 22-year old Zane Thomas Craig, of Cole Camp, had three Benton County warrants and one Sedalia FTA warrant. Craig was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a total bond of $20,190.50.


Around 3:30 Saturday afternoon (July 1), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near 16th Street and Wagner Ave, for a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road. According to the report, officers conducted a computer check on the driver and passengers. One of the passengers had a confirmed Pettis County warrant. The passenger, 29-year old Rachel M. Carlan, of Des Moines, IA, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $75,000.


Around 9:40 Saturday night (July 1), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at West 16th Street and Devin Drive for a vehicle with license plates not on file. A computer check revealed the driver had an active warrant from the City of Oak Grove, for 1st Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle. The driver, 48-year old Robert M. Graff, of Knob Noster, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $5,000 bond.


Just before 8:00 Sunday night (July 2), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at East 9th Street and South Montgomery Ave. According to the report, the driver had an active Pettis County warrant with an original charge of 2nd Degree Domestic Assault. The driver, 27-year old Quincy T. Staten, was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond of $7,500.


On Monday (July 3), an employee with the AT & T Company, reported to Pettis County Sheriff's deputies that someone had stolen approximately 300-feet of phone cable on Highway 65. The investigation continues.


 

On June 29, Glenn T. Dupree Grant, Sr., 32, was arrested and charged with 4th Degree Assault and Violation of an Ex Parte at 242 S. Stewart, where the assault allegedly occurred.  According to the report, the victims were assaulted by a man involved with their daughter. Grant was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.
