The Sedalia STING Unit, Sedalia Police, Sedalia Police Narcotics K9 Unit and Pettis County Sheriff's Office served a no-knock, narcotics-related search warrant at 310 East Saline St. on Saturday morning (March 8). Jack Kaufman Jr. was arrested and will face eight drug-related charges as a result of the raid.

Law enforcement and the K9 Unit located methamphetamine, marijuana, controlled prescription medications, drug paraphernalia and drug packaging supplies in the home. Sedalia Police also found $1,380 in cash that is believed to be profit from drug sales and five firearms. Kaufman was also linked to the possible distribution of methamphetamine, marijuana and controlled prescription medications from his home.

Kaufman faces felony charges of distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park, distribution of controlled prescription medications, distribution of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule 2 and 3 Controlled Prescription Medications and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and schedule 2 controlled prescription medication in improper container.

At the time of this report, Kaufman was being held on $100,000 bond.
