Sedalia Parks and Recreation Youth Sports Offers Exercise for Pettis County’s Youth [INTERVIEW]
The Sedalia Parks and Recreation offers a lot of options for kids and adults who want to get out of the house and get active. There are several team sports that young ones, teenagers, and parents can participate in.
Little Kickers is an indoor instructional soccer program for children 5 years old through the third grade. These classes will assist your child in the development of soccer skills and rules of the game. Classes are held on four Saturday mornings. Starting Feb. 10, patrons may register at our office in Liberty Park. Fees are $25 per child.
Little Hoopsters is a parent interactive program introducing basketball fundamentals to 5 & 6 year olds. This is a fun program and a great way to introduce your child to the game of basketball. The first two weeks children will learn the fundamentals of the game and play modified games the last three weeks. The program is held at Convention Hall on Mondays March 11 – April 7, from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Limited space available so register early. Registration is held at the Parks & Recreation Office.
Biddy Basketball is a parent interactive program open to 3 & 4 year old boys and girls. Parents will be teaching their child the fundamentals of basketball with the help of staff. This is a fun program and a great way to introduce your child to the game of basketball. We will have 3 weeks of fundamentals and 2 weeks of fun games. The program is held at Convention Hall on Mondays. Registration is held at the Parks & Recreation Office.
Youth Baseball is available for children age 5-12. Early Bird Registration will be held February 10 – 28, fees are $35. During Open Registration, March 3 – 14, fees will be $45. Register early and save money!
