On January 16th, around 9:45 that evening, in the 600 block of East 15th Street, Sedalia Police were dispactched and arrested 25-year old Gena M. Sistanich for failure to appear warrants out of Mercer and Grundy Counties. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a $30,000.00 cash only bond.

Around 4:30 in the morning on January 16th, in the area of West 7th Street and South Missouri Avenue, police conducted a routine traffic stop. Upon investigation, Sedalia Police arrested 29-year old Johnathan Glenn Johnson for driving while suspended, resisting arrest, and possession of methanphetamine. He was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges.

On Friday, Janaury 15th, around 7:00 that evening, Sedalia Police and other medical personell were dispatched to the area of South Limit and 16th Street for a three vehicle injury accident that tied-up traffic for a time. Officers discovered an unconcious female in a 1998 GMC. She had suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Columbia hospital by air ambulance. The extent of her injuries is unknown at this time. During the investigation, Sedalia Police arrested 58-year old, David Gene Busick, for a DWI and vehicular assault in the 2nd degree. Busick was transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold, pending a review by the state prosecuter. The name of female victim was not listed in the police report. The accident is still under investigation, and witnesses are encouraged to come forward and to contact the Sedalia Police Department Traffic Unit at 660--826-8100.

Around 2:00 in the afternoon on January 15th, in the 800 block of Olsen Drive, Sedalia Police took a report of a forgery. The victim stated that someone had got into her bank account through the online portion and set-up a bill pay account. The unknown subject then extracted money from the bank account in the amount of $83.00. The investigation is underway....

Around 3:30 in the afternoon on January 16th, in the 1600 block of West Broadway, Sedalia Police took a report of a theft. The victim stated that someone had entered his bedroom and taken 40-50 Oxycontin pills. The pills have an estimated street value of about $800.00. Suspects have been named in the theft and the investigation continues....

On January 15th, Pettis County Deputies arrested Stephen Callhan for an active outstanding warrant in the 16000 block of White Road.
