Early in the morning on March 29th, around 3:50, Sedalia Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of 14th Street and South Harrison Avenue, for a driver who disobeyed a stop-sign. A check through dispatch confirmed that one occupant in the vehicle had an active parole warrant with no bond. 26-year old, Ashley Ann Paris was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

 

Around 8:15 in the morning on March 28th, officers took a report of property damage in the 900 block of East 17th Street. The victim stated that someone had thrown eggs on two of his vehicles. A gray Chevrolet pick-up truck and a white Dodge Ram. There is no permanent damage and no suspects at this time.

 

Around 4:00 in the afternoon on March 29th, there was a reported theft in the area of the 200 block of East Howard Street. The victim stated that an unlocked storage unit had been unlawfully entered and various items had been stolen, with a value of $3,450.00. There are no suspects at this time.

 

Around 3:35 in the afternoon on March 29th checked on a subject with a possible warrant. A check through dispatch revealed a no-bond warrant out of Benton County. 55-year old Rhonda Sue Clawson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

 

Just before 10:00 in the evening on March 28th, in the 2200 block of East Broadway, officers took a report from a homeless person who stated that they had been sexually assaulted a week before, in the area of Saline and Mill Streets. The subject was transported to the hospital for treatment and released. No further details were listed in that police report.

 

Just before 7:00 in the evening on March 28th, there was a report of a theft at Hardees, located at 1400 South Limit. An employee had allegedly taken money from a register at the business between March 22nd and March 24th, in the amount of $233.00. The suspect has not returned to work. There were no further details listed.

 

Around 12:43 in the afternoon on March 24th, officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East 24th Street and Bristol Lane, for a speeding violation. The subject turned out to have a suspended license a failure to appear warrant. 26-year old Zachariah was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond set at $341.50, cash only.

 

Around 2:00 in the afternoon on March 24th, in the 2300 block of Kay Avenue, Sedalia Police officers arrested 36-year old Michelle L. Cocke for an active failure to appear warrant out of Cole County. She was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $200.00, cash only.

 

Just after 7:00 in the evening on March 28th, officers took a report of a burglary in the 500 block of South Kentucky Avenue. The victim stated that sometime between 1-6pm on March 28th, a subject forced entry into her residence and stole the following items:

  1. A 49 inch Insignia brand flat-screen TV, valued at $500.00.
  2. A Phillips brand DVD player, valued at $50.00.
  3. Three shelving units valued at $105.00.

There is one potential suspect at this time but no further details were listed in the police report.

 

Around 5:30 in the morning in March 26th, officers responded to Buckner Court on a report of stolen vehicle. The vehicle is described as a green, 1994 GMC Suburban. There are no suspects at this time.

 

On March 28th, officers noticed a subject who was walking in the area of South Grand Avenue from West 3rd Street. They knew the suspect had an active Pettis County warrant. Officers made contact with the suspect in the area of West 2nd Street and South Grand. Officers told the subject to stop and he pulled away, dropping two baggies of methamphetamine. After a brief struggle, the subject was placed into handcuffs and secured in the back of the police car. 27-year old Bradley M. Lawson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond set at $1,500.00 cash or surety.

 

On March 29th, Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carl Driskill Jr. for an outstanding warrant.

 

Also on March 29th, deputies arrested 41-year old Paula Elaine Hopkins, of Sedalia, on an outstanding Warrensburg warrant.
