Investigative stop results in arrest for a 23-year-old Sedalia man

At 1:36 this  morning, Sedalia police observed two subjects walking between two businesses in the area of 16th and Grand. The officers conducted an investigative stop on the subjects and found that one of them;,23-year-old Dimitriy Balaban of rural Sedalia, had active warrants. At the time of the police report, Balaban was in the Pettis County Jail on 24 hour hold pending formal charges and $10,000 bond.

Henry County accident injures a 23-year-old Kansas City woman

At 12:40 Thursday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri Highway 7 North of Northwest of 401 Road in Henry County. The accident occurred as the 2011 Honda Civic driven by 23-year-old Stephanie Reynolds of Kansas City, Missouri ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a wall. Reynolds then overcorrected and ran off the left side of the roadway, struck a concrete wall and overturned. Reynolds received moderate injuries and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by Golden Valley EMS for treatment.

Two-vehicle accident in Lafayette County injures a Lexington Missouri man

Just before 1:00 Friday afternoon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident that happened on Route “O” South of Cole Lane in Lafayette County. The accident reportedly occurred as both vehicles were Southbound when the 1997 Dodge driven by 55-year-old Terry Seek of Lexington, Missouri attempted to make a left hand turn.  A 2012 GMC driven by 40-year-old Karen Drees of Centerview swerved to miss the Seek vehicle but collided with it instead. Seek received moderate injuries and was taken to the Lafayette County Regional Hospital for treatment.
