Sedalia Police Department Crime Reports for the Evening of November 16, 2016

Around 9:30 Tuesday night (Nov 15), Sedalia Police officers responded to the 1600 block of East Broadway in reference to a person who was stealing parts from a car at Road Runner Auto Sales. The suspect left the area before officers arrived, but a witness had a description of the suspect and his vehicle. A pick-up truck, that matched the witness's description, was later located in the 800 block of East Broadway. The missing car parts and the suspect were located inside the truck. 39-year old Jeremy Jason Sleeper was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail. Charges are being sought, for 1st Degree Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, and Stealing Parts/Accessories from a Motor Vehicle.

Around 9:00 Wednesday morning (Nov 16), officers conducted a warrant check at the Sedalia Municipal Building. The suspect had an active warrant from Pettis County. 39-year old Bradley Lee Morgan was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a cash bond of $2,500.00.

Around 7:00 Tuesday evening (Nov 15), officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of East Walnut Street and North Emmett Avenue. According to the report, the suspect pulled an item out of his pocket and secreted it in the vehicle. After a search, drugs and paraphernalia were found. 48-year old Timothy Paul Potter was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of synthetic narcotics.

Around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon (Nov 15), officers were in the area of 2nd Street and Kentucky Avenue, where a suspect had an active Pettis County warrant. A digital scale with methamphetamine residue was also located in the suspect's back pack. 37-year old Tavares Q. Black was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $1,500 bond. State charges for possession of drug paraphernalia are also being sought.

Around 4:30 Monday afternoon (Nov 14), officers arrested 19-year old Miguel Angel Chavez in the 1300 block of South Moniteau Avenue for a Sedalia FTA warrant. Chavez was taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $50.00 cash bond.

Around 1:30 Monday afternoon (Nov 14), officers conducted a warrant check in the 700 block of West 3rd Street. Dispatch confirmed the suspect had a felony FTA warrant from Saline County. 27-year old Kashn M. Jones was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with no bond.

Around 1:30 Monday afternoon (Nov 14), officers arrested 49-year old Elena G. Hickman for 2 municipal FTA warrants and 1 Pettis County FTA warrant. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a total bond of $5,050.00.
