Around 12:38 Tuesday afternoon (Oct 18), Sedalia Police officers arrested 32-year old Eugene W. Sharp in the 600 block of South Ohio Avenue, for an active failure-to-appear warrant out of Jackson County. Also, for possession of marijuana, possession of non-narcotic drugs, possession of synthetic narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Sharp was taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a bond on the Jackson County warrant, at $1,000.00, secured.

 

Around 10:30 Tuesday morning (Oct 18), officers conducted a traffic stop in the Save-A-Lot parking lot. The driver had a Pettis County warrant. 25-year old Elizabeth A. Esser was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, with a $500.00, cash bond.

 

Around 10:20 Tuesday morning (Oct 18), officers responded to the 300 block of North Park Avenue, in reference to stolen items. The victim stated a generator, an air-compressor, a weed eater, and a bicycle had been taken from the yard over the past several days. The estimated value of the items was placed at $1,180.00. There are no suspects at this time.

 

Around 1:30 Monday afternoon (Oct 17), officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Scott Joplin Court on a report of a violation of an order of protection. The victim stated the suspect had confronted but she was a protected party in an ex-parte. The suspect was located a short time later. 33-year old Edward G. Marshall was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges of violation of an ex-parte order.

 

Around 3:45 Monday afternoon (Oct 17), officers responded to the area of West 4th Street and South Osage Avenue, regarding an unconscious man, laying in the grass. According to the report, the man was not moving and had no heartbeat. CPR was initiated. Personnel with the Pettis County Ambulance District arrived on scene and said the man had a heartbeat. He was taken to the hospital. No names and no further details were listed in that report.
