SH Track & Field Competes at Russellville

“The Sacred Heart track and field team competed Saturday at the Russellville Invitational. The day started out chilly with strong winds. Eventually, the clouds cleared and the sun was shining, but gusty winds continued for the entire meet. With 22 teams competing, it was a long day. We are very proud of our Gremlin track and field team,” commented coach Carrie Smith.

Top performances include:

Senior Kate Carney - 5th in discus (90'4.25"), 6th in shot put (30'6.5")

Junior Jackson Manning - 3rd in the 1600m (5:01.98)

Freshman Jared Owens - 6th in the 800m (2:22.84)

Next meet is at Smithton on Monday, April 10.
