On April 18, the Sedalia City Council accepted an agreement with Chester Bross Construction Company for the mill and overlay of various city streets. This particularly large scope of work is scheduled to begin on May 31 with 45 days allowed for completion.

Some of the streets included in this project were those impacted by the $30 million sewer project per Missouri DNR Consent Order. The City of Sedalia greatly appreciates everyone’s communication and patience while undergoing this project. The streets included in the approved April 18 bid packet include:

* E. 16th Street from S. New York Avenue to S. Wagner Avenue

* S. Engineer Avenue from E. Broadway to E. 16th Street

*32nd Street from B Highway to west city limits

*W. 16th Street from S. Ohio Avenue to South Park Avenue

*W. 10th Street from Thompson Boulevard to Winchester Avenue

*E. 14th Street from S. Ingram Avenue to Bothwell Regional Hospital curve

*7th & Ohio city-owned parking lot

The 2nd & Lamine city-owned parking lot, and E. 16th Street and S. Engineer Avenue have been given top priority. The City has requested that these two roads be finished first. The remaining areas will be repaired within the 45-day completion deadline, it was noted.
