Boys and Girls Club

With summer comes a lot of great outdoor events.  One event that's been in our area for a few years now is the Firefighter Memorial Bike Ride.  It's a great time for the whole area to come together and show our appreciation.

UPDATE: Congratulations to 14-year-old Cheyenne Anderson of Smithton, winner of the 2013 Youth of the Year Award.  Cheyenne will move on to the state competition held in Jefferson City in early April.

Dale Malone, owner of Dukes & Boots in Sedalia, recently raised $1500 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri through a fundraiser held on Black Friday (Nov. 23).

A big event is coming up next week, something that is good for kids of all ages, whether they grew up in town or out in the country. Central Bank of Missouri will act as the title sponsor for the Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri's annual “An Evening of Heart & Hope” auction. As the first title sponsor ever, Central Bank will donate $10,000 to the organization, as well as dedicate their resources of time and talent to assist in making the auction a success.
