Evening of Heart and Hope to Support Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri [INTERVIEW]

We've been talking with Matt LaCasse and the gang from the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri every week now for a while, reminding you about the upcoming Evening of Heart and Hope.  I think it's an important way for us in Sedalia to give back to the ones in our community who need it: our kids.

Sedalia Raises Goodwill and Funding with Food: Here’s Where You Can Eat for a Good Cause

There's an old proverb that tells us that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.  While that adage might be old fashioned when it comes to modern, progressive romance, it's still true when it comes to raising money.  Sedalia likes food, dadgummit, and we like to raise money for charities and good causes while we're eating it.

Shriners Holding Annual Dave Kelley Dinner at the Shrine Club This Week

I know sometimes it can be a little strange trying to figure out just what there is to do around here.  I sometimes see people on Facebook or other social media asking, "What are you guys doing tonight?" Well, I think sometimes people forget about all the good community get-togethers around here just because they're not looking for them.

Do You Enjoy Breakfast for Dinner? [POLL]

Do you remember the old saying, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day?"  I am probably the person that most neglects eating a wholesome breakfast before I head out the door for work.  I wish that I had the time to make French toast, waffles, pancakes or waffles, but unfortunately, time does not allow that for me. Unless I think of getting up at 3 a.m. and I just think for me sleep is more important.

President Barack Obama Forgot His Mic Was on at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner

The White House Correspondents’ Dinner this weekend quickly became a fierce competition between Barack Obama and Jimmy Kimmel for funniest of the night. While Kimmel’s speech turned into a hysterical roast of practically every celeb and political figure in the room, the president certainly gave the late-night host a run for his money… especially since he “forgot” his mic was on backstage.
