ST. LOUIS (AP) — Parts of Missouri are cleaning up after strong storms swept through the state.

The storms that struck Sunday caused thousands to lose power, destroyed a mobile home, blew the roof off a school and caused damage to numerous roofs. There were no reports of serious injury.

Ameren Missouri reported a high of nearly 40,000 outages Sunday afternoon, mostly in the St. Louis area. By Monday morning, more than 6,600 Ameren customers were still without power.

A mobile home in Scott County in southeast Missouri was destroyed, but no one was injured.

The Heritage Primary School in Wentzville had significant damage to the roof, but classes went on as scheduled Monday. A lack of power forced a Catholic school and a city school in St. Louis to close Monday.
