A Warrensburg man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2023 Volkswagen ID4, driven by 42-year-old Matthew B. Douglas of Warrensburg, was on Missouri 13 at SW 21st Road just after 5 p.m., when the driver failed to negotiate a curve at SW 21st Road, traveled off the roadway and overturned.

Douglas suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment on scene.

The Volkswagen was totaled and towed by Tip Top Towing.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.

Douglas was later arrested by the Patrol at 6:11 p.m. He now faces charges of driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash.

Douglas was taken to the Johnson County Jail, where he was booked and released.
