Internet used to defraud a Sedalia woman

Thursday a victim in the 800 block of Thompson Blvd. reported a fraudulent use of her credit device. According to the victim her bank told her a transaction was made via the internet. The victim also found there was a package shipped and delivered to an address here in Sedalia as a result. There was no information on the money involved, and no information on a possible suspect was included in the police report.

Hit and accident reported Thursday morning on West 14th

At 7:30 Thursday morning Sedalia police reported a hit and run accident in the 1600 block of West 14th. The female victim told officers sometime overnight someone hit her 2001 Honda Civic parked in front of her residence, and left without reporting the accident. There were no suspects at news time.

Benton County accident seriously injures a 26-year-old Kansas City woman

At 4:17 Thursday afternoon the Missouri State highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Lost Valley road East of Highway 65 in Benton County. The accident occurred as the 1991 Dodge, driven by 26-year-old Barbra Wright travelled off the roadway several times before striking a tree. Wright received serious injuries in the accident, and was transported to University Hospital by Air Ambulance for treatment.

Two-vehicle accident in Johnson County injures three people

At 4:25 this (Friday) morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle injury accident on US-50 Highway at Missouri “58” in Johnson County. According to the report the accident happened as the driver of a 2000 Chevrolet, 4o0-year-old Dwayne Orr of Liberty swerved to avoid another vehicle, and struck a 2004 Dodge driven by  48-year-old Tammy Dunlap of Centerview. While both vehicles sustained extensive damage the occupants of the vehicle received only minor injuries. Orr was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment, and Dunlap was transported to Centerpoint for treatment. A 12-year-old male victim in the Dunlap vehicle refused treatment at the scene.
