Sedalia man arrested Thursday following a rape investigation

According to a Sedalia police report at 8:50 Thursday Sedalia Police arrested Curtis L Jackson of Sedalia following an investigation of a rape inside the city of Sedalia. According to the victim they knew the suspect. The police report the arrest was made after a lengthy investigation. The rape supposedly took place on the 7th of May.  And according to a second police report on Thursday Jackson was found to have a methamphetamine pipe in his pocket. The report also states charges of rape are being requested from the Pettis County Prosecutor in the case. He was being held on 24-hour hold pending charges.

Pettis County Children’s Division report a sexual assault involving a juvenile

On Wednesday Sedalia Police received a report of a possible sexual assault involving a juvenile female and a male adult, from the Pettis County Children’s Division. That case is under investigation by the Sedalia Police and the Child’s Division.

Police call involving a 1 or 2-year-old child leads to mother’s arrest

Just before 1pm Sunday afternoon Sedalia Police received a call concerning a child in the roadway in the 1700 block of South Missouri. Upon arrival officers made contact with two-complainants who were holding a 1 to 2-year-old child. The officers located the mother in a residence close by. A check on the mother revealed she had a no-bond warrant for a probation violation, and failure to appear warrants. 24-year-old Rachel K. Becker of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on the warrants. The police report states an aunt took custody of the child.

Drug charges pending on a 55-year-old Sedalia man following a traffic stop

At 12:17am this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 2nd and Missouri for an equipment violation. Upon contact with the driver permission to search the vehicle was obtained. The police report states methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia was found. At the time of the police report the driver 55-year-old Wilbur Barnett of Sedalia was on 24-hour hold pending state charges.

Neosho woman arrested for tampering with a vehicle, and driving while suspended

Just after 11pm Sunday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 15th and Moniteau that had been reported stolen in Joplin. Arrested at the scene was the driver,  37-year-old Consuelo Diann Bunch of Neosho. Bunch was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where she was being placed on 24-hour hold pending charges of tampering with a motor vehicle, and driving while suspended or revoked.

Independence man arrested for parole violation Thursday

Around 12:40 Thursday afternoon Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Wayne T. Lion of Independence Missouri on a no-bond parole violation warrant. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail to wait transport back to the Department of Corrections.
19-year-old Sedalia man issued a summons for stealing at Walmart.

At 7pm Friday Sedalia Police arrested 19-year-old Asem M Johnson of Sedalia for stealing/shoplifting from the Walmart Store. The police report states the merchandise was returned to the store, and Johnson was issued a summons with a court date.
