Boy in Wagon Struck by Car on South Kentucky

An eight-year-old boy was struck by a car Wednesday evening on South Kentucky.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday just south of 36th and Kentucky, when the boy, of Sedalia, on a wagon, entered the path of a southbound 2017 Dodge Journey, driven by 76-year-old Charlotte A. Reusch, also of Sedalia.

The Dodge struck the boy and the wagon, and the boy, who suffered moderate injuries, was flown to University of Missouri Hospital at Columbia for treatment.

There was minor damage to the Dodge.
