Burglary and Vehicle Break-in Suspect Apprehended in Johnson County
On the afternoon of September 22nd, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Lieutenant was contacted by a Henry County resident, who reported a vehicle break-in at their residence.
The victim provided video surveillance and photos of the suspect and their vehicle. They also reported a related burglary in Henry County involving the same suspect earlier that day. At 5:47 p.m., Johnson County detective located the suspect’s vehicle at a residence in 1100 block SW 13 Highway. While awaiting backup, the detective observed the suspect flee into a cornfield carrying a black bag. Leeton Officer and other deputies responded, and a perimeter was established.
The suspect, Donald R. Loggins, 51, a resident of Sedalia, was apprehended shortly thereafter. Loggins had an active no-bond warrant out of Missouri Probation and Parole on original charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree.
Loggins was turned over to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for their active burglary and vehicle break-in investigation. Bond on his Probation Violation warrant was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
