City of Sedalia Notes Road Closures

On Mon., Dec. 14 beginning at 7 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m. Wed., Dec. 16 the intersection of East 3rd Street and South Lafayette Ave., will be closed to through traffic.

Traffic will need to find an alternate route to their destination during this period as the City of Sedalia’s contractor continues construction on the community’s water improvements project.

Drive approaches into businesses, residences and alleys will remain open.
Additionally, work will begin Mon., Dec. 14 at 7 a.m. and continue until complete along East 16th Street beginning at South Engineer Ave. and continuing to South Ohio Ave., resulting in heavy equipment and construction workers being in and around the area.

Periodic lane restrictions and parking prohibitions will be posted as water mains are installed and tested.

Drivers in the area are encouraged to slow down for workers in this area and if possible, choose a different route to their destination. Drive approaches into businesses, residences and alleys will remain open.
