City of Sedalia Recognizes Seven Employees With Awards

A total of seven employees were recognized by the City of Sedalia July 1 at the start of a regular City Council meeting.

Five were service awards and two were retirement awards.

Those receiving service awards included:

Kyle Rupe, driver-engineer with the Sedalia Fire Department, 15 years
Melissa Culp, senior account technician with the Finance Department, 15 years
Nathan Deuschle, driver-engineer with the Sedalia Fire Department, 5 years
Mark Cherry, Sedalia Police Department, 5 years
Samuel Williams, Sedalia Police Department, 5 years

Those receiving retirement awards included:

Michael Jackson, Sedalia Fire Department, 41 years, 9 months
Edwin Crampton, Sedalia Police Department, 9 years, 1 month

Certificates were distributed to those award winners who attended the meeting by Sedalia Police Chief Matt Wirt and Sedalia Fire Chief Greg Harrell.

Attending Monday night's meeting to receive their awards were Deuschle, Cherry, Williams and Crampton.
