A Clinton woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday night in Platte County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2013 Chevy Equinox, driven by 28-year-old Jaclynn D. Grieme of Clinton, was on I-29 Southbound at mile marker 12.2 around 9:40 p.m., when the Chevy struck a patch of rainwater and the driver lost control, and the Equinox traveled off the roadway and struck a guardrail.

Greime suffered serious injuries and was transported to North Kansas City Hospital by KC Fire. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
