Cole Camp Teenager Injured in One-vehicle Crash in Benton County
An 18-year-old Cole Camp man suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash that happened in Benton County at 9:30 Tuesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Jonathan B. Marimon was the driver of a southbound 1999 Ford Escort on Highway K, south of Missouri 83 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road, crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the road. At that point the driver overcorrected and skid across the road, traveled off the right side of the roadway again and struck two trees before coming to rest in the treeline.
Marimon was treated at the scene, according to the report. He was wearing a safety device, the report said.
The Escort had extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
Benton County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
