Domestic Disturbance Call Leads to Arrest of Pettis County Woman

On Saturday, Pettis County deputies responded to the 20,000 block of Smasal Road in southern Pettis County to a call of shots fired during a domestic disturbance. No injuries were reported in the incident, but a male and female were taken into custody.

On Sunday, the Pettis County Prosecutor's office filed charges of 1st dgree Domestic Assault (Class B Felony), Armed Criminal Action (Class U felony), and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Class E felony) against Stephanie D. Watts, 48.

She remains in the Pettis County Jail on a $250,000 bond, pending an appearance in court on the charges.
