Driver Sought In High-speed Pettis County Chase

On Tuesday July 23, Pettis County deputies attempted to stop a black, two-door passenger car just after 2 a.m. The vehicle failed to yield and the driver fled northbound from deputies at US 65 and Tiger Pride. The driver, identified as Levi Marks, traveled into the city limits and turned around on a side street before heading back towards US 65 southbound. Speeds reached 120 mph before Marks turned onto Route F, still traveling between 90 and 100 mph. Marks continued onto Tebo Road, where deputies terminated the pursuit for officer safety reasons. Deputies are pursuing charges against Marks.
On Saturday, deputies took a burglary report in the 21000 block of Treasure Road in Pettis County.
On Saturday, deputies investigated property damage that occurred in Houstonia on Broadway Street.
On Sunday, deputies arrested 22-year-old Cheyenne Sahara Dawn Smith of Sedalia on an outstanding Pettis County warrant.
