An Edwards man was injured in a one-vehicle wreck that occurred Sunday night in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2008 Ford, driven by 23-year-old Dakota L. Generaux of Edwards, was on Poorboy Road at Route MM just before 9:30 p.m. when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, struck a tree and a fence, coming to rest on a utility pole.

Generaux suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance for treatment. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Ford had moderate damage. Benton County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.

Generaux was later arrested by the Patrol at 10:45 p.m. and charged with DWI, driving while revoked, lane violation resulting in a crash, and no seat belt.
