Edwards Woman Injured When Jeep Skids on Wet Pavement

An Edwards woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1990 Jeep driven by 41-year-old Stacy R. Saffel of Edwards, was on Poorboy Road, just north of McLaughlin Avenue, at 4:40 p.m., when the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle and lost control of her Jeep, which skidded on the wet roadway and ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a fence.

Saffel suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Golden Valley Hospital by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance for treatment.

She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Jeep had moderate damage.
