Eric Bowers Named New Sedalia Airport Director

The Mayor and  the Sedalia City Council met in closed session on Monday, May 22, 2017 in accordance with Missouri Revised Statutes (RSMo) Sections 610.021 (1) & (3) for legal advice and personnel matters.

While in closed session, the Council unanimously approved to employ Eric Bowers as
the new City of Sedalia Airport Director.

Mr. Bowers holds a Bachelor of Science-Aviation Management degree from Utah Valley University and he expects to receive his Masters in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in a little over a year from now. The City said in a press release that they believe he will be a good asset for Sedalia Regional Airport.

Mr. Bowers will begin employment with the City of Sedalia on June 5, 2017. He will be working alongside John Evans, current Airport Director, until Mr. Evans’ retirement in mid-June.
