Just before the Missouri State Fair, Bruce had what he described as "Fair Voice" already, as he has started going hoarse. Each year it seems we at at the radio station fight it. This year I have managed to avoid it, but today it hit with a vengeance just before introducing Bush Hawg on the Bud Tent. I highly recommend you go check them out on Saturday at 2 and 6 p.m. I thought if I managed to go home and rest up Friday, all would be okay.

Unfortunately, it seems like this Fair Voice has hit me really quickly and took it away. So for the third year in a row, I have come down with the Fair Voice, and this time, it may end my duties on the fairgrounds.  Not to worry, with good co-workers that means you'll just see more of them and hear less of me.

I do look forward to heading out on Saturday. I'm supposed to meet up with an old friend, so I won't let that deter me from heading to the fairgrounds. Maybe, I can double as Bobo The Clown, and see if I can get dunked with this bad voice.

Seriously, I hope you go out and enjoy the Missouri State Fair and check out the ways to celebrate Then & Wow on the final weekend!

I found this video online as it has good advice on recovering the voice. My favorite is tea and honey, which some say works, others don't, but it seems to do wonders.
