An exciting softball district tournament final, with the Sweet Springs Greyhounds leading the host Green Ridge Tigers 5-4, was interrupted by lightning and an approaching storm immediately before the start of the bottom of the fourth inning Tuesday evening, forcing the rest of the game to be rescheduled for 4 p.m., today (Wednesday, May 10) in Green Ridge.

Tiger home runs by Bailey Perkins and Mattilyn Mergen helped make the game a 1-run affair until nearby lighting strikes forced umpires and local athletic officials' hand, resulting in suspension of the game.

The game's second first-pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m., today (Wednesday, May 10th) in Green Ridge with the home team Sweet Springs Greyhounds leading off to start the bottom of the fourth inning of this Class 1 District 7 tournament final.
